Welcome to BRMES Physical Education
Barbara R. Morgan Elementary physical education encourages students to participate in 60 minutes of physical activitiy each day. Students in grade levels 3 -5 have 45 minutes of P.E. two times each week. Students in grade levels K-2 have 30 minutes of P.E. two times a week. The link below has many suggested activities children can participate in when not in P.E.

Presidential Fitness
Students in 3rd - 5th grades are currently taking Presidential Fitness testing during their P.E. classes. These are a series of five tests that measure: upper-body strength, core strength, flexibility, endurance, and speed. The mile run is the endurance test and will take place on the Sabala Field Track on Wednesday May 23rd and Tuesday May 29th dependingon your childs PE schedule.
Late Work/ Make-up Policy
Students who miss class are encouraged to particpiate in an activity that lasts at least 30 minutes.

The end of summer and fall is a great time to be active. Students are recommended to be active for 60 minutes every day. The students at BRMES came up with the following list of ways to keep active outside of the school day.
- Bicycle
- Play a game of capture the flag with friends
- Swim
- Play tag games
- Basketball
- Run
- Hike with family
- Take your dog for a walk
- Skateboard
- Jump Rope
- Soccer
