Mrs. Cavens Librarian

Biography: Mrs. Cavens has been the Librarian at McCall Elementary (now BRMES) since January 2004.

Mother of seven children, she has volunteered in elementary schools in Florida, Texas, California, and Idaho for twenty-five years.  Reading to children has always been her passion.  Her earliest  reading memory is being read "Little Women" when eight years old. She strongly believes in reading aloud to children throughout their school years, and has been known to read old favorite books of her own children at Christmastime, to an audience that now includes lawyers, an accountant, a massage therapist, and a surf school owner. One of her best experiences is running into parents and kids in town who know and enjoyed the story read in library recently. She will gladly provide

families book suggestions for very young and elementary school-aged children.
