We are excited to be using a new math program this year called Math Connects. I believe it to be more student and parent friendly. The company has developed extensive online support.  Logging on to macmillanmh.com you and your child can access each page of their text book, complete practice activities,  play math games, practice math facts, and view actual teacher made video tutorials. Students can take mid chapter checks and take self-check quizzes as well.  It is easy to use and includes audio.

Math Timed Fact Tests

Your fifth graders are practiced at their own individual speed and ability.  My hope is to have all students proficient in multiplication and division facts by the end of October.
