1.  Dual Credit Success

Principal Thomas recognized Counselors Megan and Kate and Registrar Dan for all the hard work they do in the Dual Credit Program with University of Idaho. McCall Donnelly High School is the longest running partner, 19 years. In that time, over 2000 students from MDHS graduated with dual credit. Currently there are over 8 teachers who offer DC. Megan, Kate, and Dan do this each semester, twice a year. Congratulations on all your hard work. You go above and beyond!

2. Drama NYC Trip

Audrey Swanson and several students shared their exciting and favorite moments from their NYC Trip. 22 MDHS students and 6 adults started the trip with an overnight flight and an action-packed agenda. Every part of the trip was enjoyed, from Broadway shows, subways, Time Square, Metropolitan Art Museum, getting lost in museums, history of NY, architecture, Rockefeller Hall, the Rockettes, stage combat class, food and culture. “Do you think city people feel healthier than rural people, because they walk so much.” Shared with such eloquence. What an amazing trip!

3. ECC Update

Early Childhood Center plans are squared away with what the facility will look like. Details will continue to work out but as of now there will be 52 students, 0-5 years. Remodel plans are finalized, and remodeling will begin in summer for a fall opening.

4. Staff Housing

Superintendent Pingrey shared that staff housing has been continued until next month. The City P&Z is attempting to require the school to bury existing powerlines before they will approve the staff employee housing project.

5. Mobility Report

This report shows how many students have come in/out of our district in the last 10 years. There is quite a bit of mobility. Thanks to our talented staff for doing a great job serving all students.

6. HRS

Our coaches shared the work that our instructional staff have been participating in. From book studies, to PLC, PD to collaborative work in teaching and learning. Exciting news! Dr. Phil Warrick is slotted for this fall and Dr. Bev Clemens for next spring as we continue to dive into HRS.

7. Land Auction Appraisals

Appraisals are completed and officially recorded. Land Auction will begin soon.

8. MDEF Grants

Thank you to all who put the time, energy and effort into submitting grant requests. All grants submitted were approved by the board and will now be sent to MDEF for final approval.
