Congratulations to all actors and designers for their second-place finish at the District III Drama Tournament in Kuna on Saturday. 14 individuals qualified for the State Tournament! Great job, Vandals!

The girls basketball team visited "Wooly" the mammoth over the weekend on their trip to Orofino.


Congratulations to all the fall sports teams this season! Volleyball finished fourth at the State Tournament. The Boys Cross Country finished fourth, with George Speirs winning the 3A race and Charlie Speirs and Jacob Mascheroni finishing in the top twenty. The Girls Cross Country team finished 5th with Taylor Nalder and Olivia Cline finishing in the top twenty. Great job, Vandals!

The MDHS Football team will play BUHL in the first round of the state play-offs. The game will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 27. No ASB cards or Family Passes are accepted for entry as it is a State level competition. Entry into the game is $4 for students and $6 per adult.

MDHS Boys Soccer team defeated Wendell in the first round of the State Tournament. The score was 2-3, Vandals! The boys will play again on Friday at 12:30. The game will be available to stream online at https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/associations/ihsaa-id.

Congratulations to the Girls and the Boys Cross Country teams for winning the District Championships yesterday! Both teams have qualified for State in Pocatello on Oct 28th.

Congrats to the Boys Soccer team for their overtime victory over Fruitland in the District Championship game. They qualified for State at Vallivue High School on October 19-21. Congratulations to our Girls volleyball team for their win in the semi-final game this past Saturday. They will host Fruitland for the District Championship Thursday at 6:00pm. ASB/Family passes are not accepted at district level games. Cost is $4 for students and $6 for adults.
They have qualified for the State tourney at Lake City HS on Oct. 27-28th.

On FRIDAY, September 29, the Homecoming Parade will leave MDHS at 1:30 pm, heading north on Mission street, then turn right and make its way downtown on Lake Street. The parade will continue through the light at Deinhard (by Ridleys), turn left on Jacob and then left again on Commerce to get back on Deinhard. The parade will end at Barbara Morgan Elementary and MDHS students will return to MDHS.
MDHS students will be back at MDHS in time to get on buses to go home.

Hey, Vandals! Just a heads up that all MDHS Offices are closed on Wednesday, August 23 for our staff to attend training. The front office will reopen on Thursday, August 24. Counseling offices will reopen on Friday, August 25. Students, we can't wait to see you at Orientation on Monday!

MDHS Student Orientation is Monday, August 28 in the MDHS Commons at the following times...
Seniors: 8:00-9:00 am
Juniors: 9:00-10:00 am
Sophomores: 10:00-11:00 am
Freshman: 11:00am-12:00noon
At orientation, students will receive a hallway locker, get their school picture taken, and receive their ID/ASB card after taking their fall photo. Make-up photos will be taken in October.
The first day of school starts at 8:00 on Tuesday, August 29!

Due to the potential inclement weather, MDHS Graduation tomorrow has been moved from Sabala Field to MDHS Gymnasium. Still at 2 pm tomorrow.
